Originating in North America, Ford trucks are renowned for their durability and robustness, integral to Canada's development. The concept aimed to forge a connection between these vehicles and hardworking Canadian families, portraying Canadian resilience through a unique storytelling approach using 3D Projection on the F-150 model itself, revolutionizing traditional car commercials.
The exploration focused on utilizing the F-150 truck as a creative canvas. Collaborating with the acclaimed Canadian illustrator Marcos Chin, custom Interactive Programming and digital integration were developed to enable real-time illustration onto the truck. A full-scale laser scan created a 3D model of the truck for digital manipulation. Marcos then freely illustrated on his tablet, with his work 3D mapped and projected onto the truck in real time, resulting in a visually stunning commercial.
